Deloitte Zimbabwe: how it all started
William Welch Deloitte, the founder of the firm, set up in practice at the age of 27 as a public accountant in the City of London in 1845. In 1905, the firm of Deloitte, Dever, Griffiths, Annan & Company was set up in Bulawayo out of South Africa.

The other Zimbabwe and Malawi offices were established as follows:

Mutare 1950
Gweru 1955
Kwekwe 1971

The global Executive decided in 2003 to use the name Deloitte as a global brand, enabling us to speak to the market place with a unified voice, under a single name.
