The Judging Process

The process will comprise of two main rounds:

(i) Round 1 Judging:

This is going to be carried out by two international accounting firms: Deloitte and Touche and PWC. The two firms are going to provide four judges each including some from their agricultural divisions.

(ii) Round 2 (Final Round) Judging:

This is going to be executed by an independent panel of judges comprising X Zimbabwean experts in the financial, business and agriculture sectors. In both Round 1 and the Final Round, judges will shortlist applicants and select winners in accordance with defined criteria, respectively.

The main judging rounds will be preceded by an additional stage:

(i) Initial compliance check:

An initial compliance check will be carried out by the AIZ administrator, at which point applications which do not meet competition criteria, and/or have not correctly completed the application form and submitted relevant documentation, including application fee, will be eliminated.

The aim of the judging process is to ensure fairness and transparency. Apart from providing administrative support to the process and checking for compliance as soon as applications are received, TechnoServe will not be directly involved in selection of the winners at any stage of the competition.
